Türkiye’s First and Only International Student Health Insurance

As Türkiye’s only insurance company specialized exclusively in health insurance, Bupa Acıbadem Sigorta is once again setting a precedent in the industry. Developed in collaboration with Tanyıldızı Insurance and Daily Health Insurance Group (DHIG), the International Student Health Insurance offers significant convenience for students traveling abroad for educational purposes. Students can now obtain comprehensive health insurance policies valid in their countries of study directly from Türkiye, without the need to purchase insurance from overseas providers.

One of Türkiye’s leading brands in health insurance, Bupa Acıbadem Sigorta has launched the International Student Health Insurance in partnership with Tanyıldızı Insurance and Daily Health Insurance Group (DHIG). Students pursuing education abroad can now secure comprehensive health insurance coverage valid in their destination countries directly from Türkiye, eliminating the need to engage with foreign insurance companies.

Until now, this comprehensive coverage structure had been offered exclusively by insurance companies based abroad. Through this special product model developed via the collaboration between Bupa Acıbadem Sigorta, Tanyıldızı Insurance, and Daily Health Insurance Group (DHIG), the product is now available for sale in Türkiye. With this partnership, a Türkiye-based insurance company is, for the first time, integrating an internationally valid contracted healthcare provider network and coverage structures compliant with the requirements of multiple countries into a single health insurance policy—ensuring protection against health risks students may face both prior to enrollment and throughout their education period abroad.

Recognized by official institutions in the countries where students pursue their education, the International Student Health Insurance enables students to receive healthcare services within the policy’s network without making any out-of-pocket payments, starting from the registration process onward, by obtaining direct authorization abroad. This ensures uninterrupted and reliable health coverage against unexpected medical risks while studying overseas.

Two Coverage Options, Flexible Plans

The policy offers two coverage options: “Worldwide” and “Worldwide excluding the United States and Canada.” For students studying in European countries, plans excluding the United States and Canada are recommended, while students seeking broader coverage may opt for more comprehensive plans.

Undergraduate, graduate, or certificate program students aged 16–40 who are enrolled in an overseas education program are eligible to benefit from the International Student Health Insurance.
